There are inherent limitations with different prototyping techniques. We evaluate alternative processes and materials to achieve a functional behaviour and aesthetic effect that is most appropriate at each stage of the product development cycle. Prototyping is done to reveal problems, validate the concept and design, and support an effective path towards industrialisation. As prototypes are constructed, we pay attention to articulating the knowledge gaps that need to be filled so that both the prototype itself and the process of constructing the prototype can provide the answers needed to fill those knowledge gaps.
Fully functional prototypes tested for robust performance under a variety of conditions.
Compliance to all relevant standards, built in from the beginning.
Pre-testing for compliance
done at our labs.
Prototypes at different levels depending on stage of development, from mock-ups to pre-production.
Prepared in close collaboration with trusted contract manufacturers for small production runs where needed.
